This private tour of Morocco covers the imperial cities; Rabat, Meknes, Fez, Marrakech, Chefchaouen, and the Atlantic Sea, Palm groves, old Kssours and Kasbahs, Todgha gorges, and the unforgettable night at the spectacular dunes of Erg Chebbi.

  • Day 1: Casablanca- Rabat (1 hour drive)
    Depending on your time of arrival, we will visit the Hassan II mosque- the second largest mosque in the world.
    Next, our private Morocco tour takes you to Rabat the kingdom’s capital; we will visit Kasbah des Oudayas 12thcentury Kasbah and its Andalusian gardens, later on the Merenid necropolis of Chellah.
    If the time allowed, we recommend to visit Sale; the sister city to Rabat.
  • Day2: Rabat-Chefchaouen(3-4 hours’ drive)
    After breakfast, our Morocco tour travels to Chefchaouen. This town is a visual delight in blue; walls; doors; windows; stairways, alleyways and archways-everything. This afternoon you will discover the blue city. Outa El Hammam is the main square, take a huge glass of Moroccan tea and watch the world go by, get yourself lost in the tiny higgledy-piggledy alleys away from the more tourist-oriented areas and you will find the every-day life of the town, a tailor sewing an elegant Djellabah, Butchers, bakers…
  • Day 3-Chefchaouen
    On that day you have the choice between discover and learn more about the blue Town or enjoy a guided tour on the Rif Mountains “Akchour” spectacular landscape and waterfalls and a joy for trekking.
  • Day 4- Chefchaouen-Volubilis-Fez (4 hour’s drive)
    You say goodbye to Chefchaouen and head south to Volubilis, the most important and extensive remains of a Roman city in Morocco, and one of the most distant of the Empire’s domain, thanks to the powerful Berber tribes who showed themselves to be more than a match for the conquering legionnaires. Once one of the most important regions producing grain to feed the voracious Roman appetite, and wild animals to keep the crowds entertained as they tried to devour gladiators in the arena, this prosperous provincial city was home to some 200,000 residents at the height of its glory. The importance of the city is reflected in the Capitoline temple, the Basilica, said to be one of the most beautiful in Africa in its day, and its 1,300 square meter Forum, with sumptuous mosaics still to be seen in some of the most luxurious homes.
    You move on to Moulay Idriss, which, from a distance. The oldest town in Morocco, it was founded by Moulay Idriss in 789, having fled Mecca because of religious and tribal conflicts. It was here that the Idrisid dynasty was founded, and the town has the only round minaret in Morocco. You end today in on of Morocco’s four imperial cities, Fez, where you can prepare for tomorrow’s fascinating tour around this delightful medieval city.
  • Day5: Fez- the guided tour if the city
    Fez is a jewel box of exotic delights on our private Morocco tour. To unravel the intricacies of the nine thousand streets and alleyways of the UNESCO- protected Fez Medina. Your private English-speaking guide will collect you from your Riad on the morning, visiting the numerous oldest Islamic universities; Bou Inania and El Attarine, the tanneries and the various craft souks, “Foundouks”, old fountains and the Mellah/Jewish Quarter, Nejjarine square.
  • Day6: Fez- Ifrane- Azrou- Erfoud (7 hour’s drive not including stops)
    Our Custom Morocco tour leaves Fez early morning to take you to the first stop Ifrane town; a colonial alpine resort built in 1929 by the French, quite popular during the snow season. Later we reach Azrou, the landscape is totally different; lakes, Cedar forests and home of several troupes of apes and the 800 – year old Gouraud’s cedar.
    A few hours later, our journey arrives in Erfoud, visit the ancient Jewish district and the “Musee des Oasis”. You can enjoy a short walk through the date palms and farms of what is the biggest date-producing region in Morocco. And you will be surprised to see that not all date palms tower over you, because there are 283 recognized varieties of date grown in the country, the most delicious (and expensive) of which are known as Mejhoul. After a relaxing night in the hotel, you’ll be fully rested for the next day’s Sahara adventure.
  • Day 7 – Erfoud- Rissani-Erg Chebbi (3hour’s drive not including stops)
    Today you are going to experience one of the most memorable moments of your Morocco adventure as you makes your way into the dunes of Morocco’s Erg Chebbi region of the Sahara Desert. You’ll have this morning to relax and/or explore Erfoud and Rissani before preparing for a memorable night under the stars. An hour’s camel ride weaving along the tops of the dunes brings you to your camp eaten by candle light, and accommodation on a private tent, or maybe you choose to sleep while watching the twinkling stars.
  • Day 8: Erg Chebbi- Todgha Gorges- Tinghir- Dades/Skoura (5 hour’s drive not including stops).
    Try to not miss the sunrise, after breakfast; our journey continues to visit our first stop the spectacular Todgha Gorges, lie only 15 km from Tinghir, famous with its crystal clear river emerging from it, its huge walls. We are back in the Atlas Mountains as we pass through Tinghir, an important center of the Berber nomad tribes, the decaying Ksours and 19th century adobe mosque. The Dades Gorges knowing with the monkey fingers rock formations and great trekking. You can have the night in Dades or continue few kilometers and spend the night in the palm grove of Skoura.
  • Day9: Skoura
    After breakfast, we suggest to have a guided walking tour in the palm grove of Skoura known “Valley of Kasbahs”; date palms, terraces of olive, pomegranate, almond and fruit trees, with grain and vegetable crops planted in between.
  • Day10: Skoura- Ouarzazate- Ait Benhaddou- Telouet- Marrakech (4-5 hour’s drive not including stops)
    Our Private Morocco tour continues to reach Ouarzazate, the Hollywood of Africa, where the Atlas studios are reputed to be one of the largest movie studios in the world.

    Half hour later you will arrive to Kasbah Ait Benhadou, the UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the best-preserved Kasbah’s in the entire Atlas region, the Kasbah has been the backdrop to many historical films, “Lawrence of Arabia”, “Gladiator” and “Game of Thrones”.

    Then we turn the road to reach the Telouet Kasabh, the former Pasha’s palace, Pacha Glaoui had managed to overshadow the sultan by controlling most of nowadays Morocco and decided to build a palace in the middle of nowhere, where his family had originated from.

    Shortly after Telouet, the trip joins the main road and after innumerous twists, over Tiz N Tichka pass, we descend the High Atlas and reach the plain, ahead to the magical red city Marrakech.
  • Day 11: Marrakech guided visit
    After breakfast, your professional English-speaking guide will collect you to start your adventure to discover the secrets of the Marrakech Medina. Marrakech is the capital of the Moroccan south, an oasis town in hues of red, ochre and pink, rising up out of the dusty plains to the north of the Atlas Mountains. The ancient centre, a UNESCO Heritage Site, is said to be the second largest medieval complex in the world, after Cairo. The Medina (old town) of Marrakech is a beguiling labyrinth of alleyways, souks (markets) and workshops where little has changed since the Middle Ages. Marrakech has a selection of monuments and museums, such as the ancient el Bahia and Badi palaces, Saadiens tombs, museums of Marrakech and Dar Si Said, and an impressive 12th century rampart surrounding the medina, the real draw of the place is its colorful, lively and exotic atmosphere.

    Marrakech is a heaven for the global shopper; the red city has the finesse of the craft and the influence of the young artisans and foreign artists.
    Walking around the souks and the small streets “Derbs” you can smell the perfume of the past and the walls tell you the city’s stories during centuries.

    Don’t miss the evening on the famous Jamaa El Fna square; open air stalls for street food, musicians, acrobats, snake charmers, story tellers. Try to catch the square scene from the top of the oldest and highest square terraces “cafe de France” or “cafe Glacier”.
  • Day 12: Marrakech
    On that day, you can enjoy Marrakech gardens; Agdal gardens built by the Almohad dynasty of the 12th century. Menara Gardens with its pavilion overlooking the waters. Le Jardin Secret located in one of the most authentic and prestigious districts of Marrakech. Majorelle Gardens create byYves Saint Laurent in 1920’s and recently they have inaugurated the fascinating Yves Saint Laurent museum worth to visit.

    Or perhaps you would like to enjoy a cooking class with the visit of the local market, and discover the Farnatichi, “Michoui” lamb, the preserved olives and vegetables.

    You can also spoiled yourself by having a nice Moroccan Hammam and scrub, or if you are a fancy trekking, Imlil is a Berber village 1h30 drive from Marrakech and you can enjoy a few hours or full day trekking with our local Berber guide.
  • Day 13: Marrakech- Essaouira (3 hour’s drive not including stops)
    On your drive to Essaouira today you may like to make a slight diversion to visit an association of local woman that make Argan oil known these days because of the excellent health and beauty properties. Early afternoon we reach Essaouira; a UNESCO World Heritage site and known by the small Portuguese town with white and blue window houses, visiting the fishing harbor as the Blue small boats come in, and watch the freshest of fish being sold. Essaouira known as well by the Gnouia Music; left by the slaves that were sold on the big square after their long march across the Sahara.
    Get yourself lost on the small narrow streets and visit the tall towers (Squala) where scenes from “Alexander”, “Kingdom of Heaven” and “Game of Thrones” were shot.
  • Day 14: Essaouira
    On that day, you can enjoy your coffee or Moroccan tea on the one of the big square terraces. If you are a surfer or would like to feel a board beneath your feet for the first time, there are some world-class surfing schools to get you onto the Atlantic waves, or have a horse riding in the wild beaches next Essaouira, or maybe you just want to stretch out on the sands and watch.
  • Day15: Essaouira- Oualidia- El Jadida (4 hour’s drive not including stops)
    We left Essaouira on the morning, our journey continues to visit Oualidia and enjoy the turquoise waters and the best oysters and sea food. Later, we arrive to El Jadida.
  • Day16: El Jadida- Casablanca (1h30 drive not including stops)
    El Jadida’s old city has a very “un-Moorish “appearance because of its massive Portuguese-built walls of hewn stone, one of the seven wonders of Portuguese origin in the world. The Portuguese fortified city of Mazagan was registered as a UNESCO World Heritage in 2004, on the basis of its status as an “outstanding example of the interchange of influences between European and Moroccan cultures” and as an “early example of the realization of the Renaissance ideals integrated with Portuguese construction technology”. According to UNESCO, the most important buildings from the Portuguese period are the cistern, and the Manueline Church of the Assumption.
    Drop off at Casablanca airport or to the hotel. End of the tour.
